Scientific Editor:

Dr. Arbab Khan completed her B.Sc. in Biochemistry and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Aligarh Muslim University. She was awarded prestigious DST scholarship during post graduation. Later she pursued Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Interdisciplinary Biotechnology Unit, AMU. She qualified CSIR-UGC (JRF) and GATE and was awarded Junior and Senior Research Fellowship during her Ph.D.

During her research, Dr. Khan studied about unique mechanisms of multiple drug resistance (MDR) in bacteria. Her study was primarily focused on KPC-2 producing MDR strain of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Using various molecular biology, and proteomics techniques she investigated about the mechanisms employed by these bacteria to evade antibiotics, even the most recent ones. As Postdoctoral fellow, she briefly worked on a research project studying microbial diversity in anaerobic digesters at Zayed University, Dubai.

Dr. Khan has extensive research experience in the fields of Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. She has published several research papers in peer reviewed journals like Journal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance, Plos One, Journal of Biomolecular Structure and Dynamics and Nanomedicine etc. She has participated in many national and international conferences. She is also a member of editorial team of scientific journal ‘Insight in Chest Diseases’.
