Scientific Editor:

Dr. Abira Ganguly completed her B.Sc in Microbiology (Honors) from University of Calcutta and M.Sc in Molecular Biology from West Bengal University of Technology. She then joined Advanced Center for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer-Tata Memorial Center, Mumbai for her Ph.D. in Cell Biology.  Her Ph.D. was focused to understand the control mechanism of nuclear size and shape which is altered in almost every cancers.

Dr. Ganguly did her postdoctoral research fellow from Dept. of Developmental Biology, School of Medicine, Washington University in St. Louis, USA. Here, her work focused on understanding how mechanical stress (Occurs during cancer metastasis, during stem cell differentiation) can affect gene expression by modulating nuclear shape in mouse and organoid cultures.

She has years of experience in research involving yeast, mammalian cell lines. During her Ph.D. and Postdoctoral research, she has received several awards,  presented her work in national and international conferences and also published her work in peer-reviewed journals.

Dr. Ganguly believes science communication plays a very important role to raise awareness in the general public. On her free time, she is involved with science content writing which is published through different social media platforms.
