Dr. Nida Rehmani completed her B.Sc. (Honors) and M.Sc. in Biochemistry from Aligarh Muslim University. Her zeal for higher education led her to pursue Ph.D in Molecular Biology at the Aligarh Muslim University. Under the auspices of the Obama Singh exchange fellowship, she had the opportunity to continue her research work in the Department of Radiology, The Ohio State University, USA. Additionally, in the program, she earned a M.Ed., specialized in STEM higher education.

Dr. Rehmani is an experienced mentor with a demonstrated history of working in research and education fields. Her research studies explored the significance of oxidative DNA damage induced by endogenous metabolites and underlying mechanisms with implications for neurodegeneration, ageing and cancer.

She has received several awards and scholarships during her academic studies: Sir Syed Excellence in Science Award (SSESA), CSIR-UGC NET, Post Graduate Merit Scholarship. She was the first recipient of the 21st Century Obama Singh Knowledge Initiative STEM-ER dual degree program. She is a science communication enthusiast and volunteers for advocating STEM education, especially under-represented communities.
