Dr. Huma Naz completed her M.Sc. degree in Microbiology from Hemwati Nandan Bhuguna Garhwal University. She received her Ph.D. in Agricultural Sciences from Aligarh Muslim University. She had the opportunity to continue her research work in CDRI Lucknow, along with Diplomas from IIT Kanpur, Commonwealth of Learning (COL), Canada, and courses from Jacobs University Bremen, Germany, and Harvard Medical School, USA.

Dr. Naz, an esteemed professional in Microbiology, Environmental Sciences, Nanotechnology, Agriculture Sciences, Crop Management, and Plant Protection, boasts a remarkable history of accomplishments adorned with numerous prestigious accolades and awards. Her expertise spans consultancy across Eritrea, Sudan, Ethiopia, and India, guiding agricultural ventures and nurseries. Celebrated for organizing international conferences and conducting agriculture-based training across diverse nations, including Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Nepal, Egypt, Turkey, Bangladesh, and India, she has authored various research papers, books, a lab manual, and numerous abstracts and chapters.

Dr. Naz’s career shines with outstanding achievements. She has held esteemed positions such as Research Associate at IIT Guwahati’s Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, Assistant Professor at Hamelmalo Agricultural College in Eritrea, and Research Associate at the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, New Delhi. Her extensive list of honors includes the “Scientist of the Year Award, 2020” at the 4th International Conference Global Approaches in Natural Resource Management for Climate Smart Agriculture (GNRSA-2020), the “Best Researcher Award” at the Global Initiatives in Agricultural and Applied Sciences for Eco-Friendly Environment (GAAFES-2019) by the (AETDS) Society at Cairo University, and the “Excellence in PGPR Research Award” from the Asian PGPR Society of Sustainable Agriculture.

She has been also honored with the “Fellow Award” from the National Gladiolus Trust, Jammu, the “Best Thesis Award 2018” at the ABAS – 2018 conference, the “Science Investigator Award” at an International Conference by Biologix Research and Innovation Centre, and the “Best Teacher Award 2017” at the International Conference in Advances in Agriculture and Biodiversity Conservation for Sustainable in Meerut, U.P., India.

Dr. Naz has also received the “University Grant Commission (UGC) Fellowship” during her Ph.D. and holds an “Honorary Life Membership” in the Asian PGPR Society of Sustainable Agriculture. These prestigious awards solidify her exceptional contributions to academia, research, and consultancy in Agriculture Sciences and Environmental Sustainability.”
