Lotus STEMM Organization:
Lotus STEMM is a grassroots Not-For-Profit Organization aimed at creating a community for South Asian women in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM).
Objectives of Lotus STEMM are:
a. Outreach: To inspire, educate and motivate the next generation of South Asian girls and women.
Lotus STEMM’s outreach mission is to provide resources on a variety of STEMM-related careers for students, teachers, and parents.
b. Networking and Leadership: To increase networking and provide leadership among South Asian girls and women.
Lotus STEMM’s networking & leadership mission focuses on creating a mentorship and visibility platform for South Asian women in STEMM fields.
c. Research: To understand cultural and societal impact on a South Asian woman’s STEMM career and health.
Lotus STEMM’s research mission aims to better understand how South Asian women’s careers in STEMM are impacted.
