The health of Indian women is intrinsically linked to their status in society. Research into Indian women’s status has found that their family contributions are often overlooked and they are likely to be regarded as an economic burden, especially in rural areas. This attitude has a negative impact on their health status. Poor health has repercussions not only for women, but also for their children and other family members.
Aabir Bio-Services Foundation core area of work is prevention and disease control related to women and girls health, with a focus on cervical cancer. They make it so easy to understand more about women’s health related problems and common symptoms to look out for. Upon initially visiting the website, I learned about cervical cancer, the fourth most common cause of cancer-related deaths globally, and I acquired valuable knowledge about all facets of the disease, including prevention strategies. I would like to thank the Aabir Bio-Services Foundation an online platform, that is helpful in destigmatizing women and girls health issues in India.
